On Thursday, the developers behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, teased the August 1 event by showcasing player intros to multiplayer matches. As you’d probably expect, the teaser didn’t reveal much, aside from the fact that players will now be dropping into online matches via a helicopter. Of course, as of right now, we don’t know whether or not this will only be included in certain modes, or if each multiplayer mode will feature these drop-ins.

You can check out the aforementioned teaser in the video below.

Over the last month, Infinity Ward has slowly been revealing what the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare relaunch will have to offer. One of the newest features is the Gunfight mode, which is a two-on-two multiplayer match where the last duo standing wins.

In recent weeks, we’ve seen plenty of the Gunfight mode, but in terms of gameplay, the developers haven’t shown anything else. The only thing multiplayer-related that’s been confirmed since the Gunfight reveal has been the Gunsmith class, which will end up being one of the many classes featured in the upcoming Call of Duty game.

The scheduled release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is October 25, so you should expect to see a lot more regarding the game’s single-player campaign in the coming weeks and months.

It was recently reported that, in the single-player campaign, more than just Captain Price will be returning. But, as for who else ends up in the game, well, that still hasn’t been confirmed. But, due to a recent action figure advertisement, it looks like two other former Call of Duty characters will also be included in the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare relaunch.

In addition to everything that has officially been revealed, there has also been a ton of rumors surrounding Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the biggest of which is that the game will include a Battle Royale mode. Also, it looks like the game will launch with a Spec Ops mode, which is reportedly an open-world type of mode with roughly 80 missions. So, according to the rumor mill at least, the next Call of Duty game will have no shortage of things to do.
