After the big reveal at the beginning of next month, it'll likely be a quiet time for the longtime CoD developers, at least until late-September or early-October, which is when the next and final trailer will likely be released, as the game is currently scheduled to drop on October 25. Ever since last month's E3 event, Infinity Ward has given out a good amount of details regarding the campaign mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which is rumored to be dark and controversial. Of course, dark and controversial storylines have been featured in CoD games in the past, most notably during the "No Russian" mission back in Modern Warfare 2. The game's single-player campaign promises to deliver players more freedom as to how they carry out their missions. Infinity Ward has also said that, while players will strongly be encouraged to be a good soldier, the game won't prevent players from performing tasks and completing missions in a dishonorable way. However, while players will have a good amount of freedom during campaign missions, their actions won't have an impact on how the main narrative unfolds, because, like in all previous Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare will have a linear narrative with pre-rendered cutscenes.
