At some point, Infinity Ward is planning to expand the Gunfight mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which, as of right now, is only a 2v2 mode.

Last week, Joe Cecot, who is a director at Infinity Ward, was asked on Twitter about 3v3 possibly coming to Modern Warfare's Gunfight mode. He confirmed that 3v3 is going to be added, and on top of that, he also said that 1v1 will come to the mode as well.

https://twitter.com/JoeCecot/status/1200924188573200384

As of right now, we don't know when this update will be added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, or if the update will be released before the end of the year.

There's a big update coming to Modern Warfare on December 3, as Infinity Ward plans to launch the game's battle pass on Tuesday. But, before the details were revealed, a user on Reddit leaked its contents, as it'll feature two new free weapons -- Ram-7 and Holger-26 -- new operator skins, charms, blueprints, emblems, XP tokens, and Call of Duty points.

In a recent statement, Activision said the following regarding the upcoming battle pass.

"Note that some of this content may drop later than the Season One start date of December 3, and additional content may be added to Season One,” said Activision on their official blog. "Check back here on December 3 where we’ll fully reveal the 100 tiers of the battle pass and reveal Season One in much greater detail."

Tuesday's update is the first of many updates to come for Modern Warfare, as rumor has it that the game will get a Battle Royale mode in January and that it'll be able to host up to 200 players. If the rumor ends up being true, then it'll likely be revealed before the end of the year. Also, according to the rumor, the mode will be free to download.

As of right now, it looks like all of the paid content in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be strictly cosmetic, as everything else in the game can be unlocked through playing. Also, it looks like all future maps will be free for everyone, so you won't need to purchase the battle pass to access new maps.

Expect to see a ton of content get added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in the coming weeks, as Infinity Ward has confirmed that new maps, modes, and weapons will be added to the first-person shooter soon.
