Sony just released the recording of the Official PlayStation Podcast featuring discussions about Helldivers 2, spotlights about games of the future, and much more. There was an irony about the spontaneity of the internet that generated a ton of hype, salt, and outright chaos from fans.
The first segment of the podcast was about interviewing Arrowhead Game Studios, the devs of Helldivers 2. They discussed the big events in the world and plans for the future. While some fans took it on the chin, others took another path. One said bluntly, “Helldivers 2 sucks who cares.” Then gekkehenkie078 just added clown and barfing emojis in response. Bitchy, much? But then came MikaDima1, who uttered, “Sold millions and still doing amazing 🤡,” so the battle was really on, with some going into riot form.
Other fans were genuinely asking for the game to be supported by PSVR2. askamsky51 declared, “God I wish Helldivers got PSVR2 support. Even if just using the regular DualSense.” That would be sick-a-wish-no-scene thing — crushing bugs in full VR. However, Sony has yet to throw in a single word on that, so an official confirmation is off the table for now.
Now the Xbox fans came in. Oh, boy! InfernoSpectre and XboxNation7603 were bustling to get a port of the game, with the latter pleading, “Bring Helldivers 2 to Xbox!” Well, the cash from this PlayStation exclusivity is coming in fat and fast; Xbox players might have to suck it up.
Going upwards from here, it will only get crazier: Some users were… bitter towards PlayStation in general. KanekiSagara totally went bonkers: “PlayStation I just wanted to let y’all know that the technology y’all used to make the ps5 is fing garbage why is the ps5 having overheating problems when the ps3 and ps4 didn’t have these problems like y’all just fell off big time bro smh.” Damn. Somebody’s controller must have slipped right into rage mode!
Followed by some… concerning tweets. User kavallo87 pissed the hell out of the timeline with “I’m gonna kms @PlayStation PLEEEEASASSSEEE I WORK A DOUBLE TMMR PLEAAAASE,” followed by, “Unsuspend my account @PlayStation pls I’m gonna off myself.” Yikes. Hopefully they are okay; maybe also log off for a bit?
Outside this some anxious outsiders were increasingly hopeful about the future. Expedition 33 got some praises from nftkingbo, calling it “amazing,” while prices were being disputed vehemently. GamergeekS16948 said, “yeah but still 30 bucks man,” while doggo279106 replied, “It was 15$ at some point 💀💀.” The struggle.
And then there was the random demand for Battlefront 3 from Fulcrum2111: “Tell EA to make Battlefront 3 #Battlefront3.” Sir, this is a PlayStation podcast.
So yeah. The podcast had everything for everybody—maybe a black spot here for the Xboxers and the Helldivers 2 haters. That, and a nerdy gang full of guys screaming at updates and dramedy. But those wins and recognition are all for Helldivers 2; PlayStation is still ignoring Xbox requests; the whole internet remains as bouncy as ever. Normalcy.
