The Halo Infinite hype just won’t die anytime soon, as 343 Industries gave fans a new look at the Weapons Bench for Operation Last Stand, and they are pulling out their hair trying to figure out which guns to customize first. The tweet with an awesome image of the reworked arsenal has sent the community into debate, meme-making, and begging for more features.

So what does this even mean? The Weapons Bench is where players can customize their guns, whether this be custom skins, coatings, and in some cases, visual effects. And boy do the Halo community members have opinions; as reflected in the backlash, some people want to see Nebula Needler customization, others keep asking for Plasma Pistol to come back, while yet others just keep screaming “wort wort wort,” as if it was 2001 all over again. Classic.

Over in the opposite corner, though, was Andrea Cappello, with full blown rage after finding out that the Needler’s customization would not allow green needles. “But with great disappointment I noticed that it shoots purple needles 😡” — a great crime against Halo fashion if ever there was one! ONI ARCHIVE, however, went all in on the hype for Nebula Needler as though it was the most important gun ever.

Then you have one of the quintessentially crazy pleas by KingHunterLunar, begging for more weaponry to be added to the bench. “Please, let me barbie out my guns to make people more mad, please let me smash people’s bones in with a Pink Gravity Hammer, I beg you.” That is an entire mood. Step aside.

Some aren’t pleased though. Gourmandalf issued the ultimate gamer insult to 343: “Please stop make ugly custom weapon with my fav childhood video games.” Ouch. Meanwhile, MysticMase and Scott Privett were all about the demands for a PS5 port like the only thing standing in the way of their happiness.

But the true MVPs have to be Prevail, who clue us in on a super minor but very important issue with weapon coating—the color isn’t reflected in the ammo counter display. “Pass Tense” turns the HUD green but not on all guns. Devs, hear this! Fix it! Or face the wrath of perfectionists everywhere.”

Then there is the guy who goes, “Bro make Halo 7 already goddamn.” Yuto S., we feel you, but let Infinite cook a little more, alright?

Even the actual update reaped many praises like NovaDelta1337 praising 343, “Yall cooked with the update. Absolutely amazing job yall :)” So, amidst the chaos, it’s clear that the Weapons Bench is clearly the way to go.

Now the real question- how about your first customized gun? Nebula Needler? Burnt Chrome Mutilator? Or will you wait for that illusive Pink Gravity Hammer? Either way, it looks like Operation Last Stand is going to be a hell of a rollercoaster through the Halo universe.

Still doubting? Just remember that somewhere out there, a Spartan is going to blast you to oblivion with a neon-pink shotgun. Stylish yet frightening at the same time. Mostly frightening.
