The wildness of a GTA Online player makes one ponder if the physics engine of the gaming company was ever present at all. Still, it happens every day that crazy stunts are done in the game but this one? This one is the one that deserves the cake, the whole bakery, and perhaps even the whole damn city.

According to the video by the user TheRealMurda10k, a gamer flew one of the ridiculously buzzing cars coming from the sky miles away and miraculously landed it right on the narrow edge of the dam. Not to mention, he didn’t land close to the dam nor did he crash it. He is just ON it. Just like that, set the wheels down, everything is nice and quiet, let’s go for a burger kind of landing.

What about the spectators’ reactions? They were the greatest. They were just epic.

One of the people, Andrew Foster, was the one who articulated it best, saying: “That’s not a landing, that’s a cinematic moment.” He is completely correct. It was precisely like something out of a Michael Bay movie but with fewer explosions and more of the pure, unaltered skill. Or it might be that it was a whole lot of luck. Foster also joked that the gamer “just unlocked Fast & Furious physics,” which truth be told, is probably the most succinct depiction of GTA Online in 2025.

Then a comment came from Aria saying, “NASA has been told. They have already seen this video and are inquiring if this player can be in charge of all future Mars rover landings.” I mean, if you can execute that precise a landing in a game where everything is killing you, you might be suitable for the aerospace industry. Just a thought.

Still, there were not many who were so impressed. A couple of comments just plainly said that the news was slow that day. Something like, “Slow news day today?” and another just “Slow news day?” Ouch, guys. That was quite tough. But then again, if the top news is about a landing of a flying car, you could be very much interested in knowing what else is happening in the world. Great! But for us gamers, this is like the good stuff!

Other players were also amazed by the great fearless act. Brie Nightwood dubbed it “pretty epic ngl,” and CryptoCazzino expressed it simply with “This was too good!” Meanwhile, another gamer, Phantom Boi, felt he had been eliminated and wrote, “Been playing GTA for years and still can’t park straight 😭.” Mood. An entire mood. We stand with you, Phantom Boi. We really do.

This whole scenario leads to the question… what does “landing” mean now in a GTA game? Is it that you are still alive? Or your vehicle is just standing upright? The player who did this changed the definition. He came in on fire from what appeared to be the stratosphere and put it down so smoothly you would think the dam was made of pillows. One user, Mickey Morant, remarked that “the boost at the end felt like cheating,” but all’s fair in love and GTA Online. If the game gives you a boost, you are allowed to use the boost.

These are the sorts of moments why people are still playing GTA Online a decade after its release. It is not only the heists or the chaos. It is these random, player-driven moments of pure, unscripted brilliance. It is witnessing someone pulling off something you thought was impossible and instantly feeling the urge to log on to the game and try it yourself, only to find yourself crashing into a tree five seconds later.

The mentioned video made a little discussion come up regarding the term “flying car.” One user, Scopey, simply wrote down a sad smiley along with “Flying car 😞.” We feel you, buddy. It’s a weird world where such a phrase is considered to be normal.

So, what can we draw from this? Rockstar Games‘ GTA Online is still the unpredictable playfield of the endless possibilities and shaky physics where good side of physics sometimes creates the viral clip. It is the proof of the players’ creativeness and the game’s still chaotic but, at the same time, charming appeal. The player not only landed a car he made a masterpiece in digital aviation and for a short while, he was the emperor of Los Santos.

If Elon Musk is really monitoring the situation as one tweet suggested, then perhaps he ought to take a lesson from this. Because this is the dream transport of the future that we once wished for and it is now happening in a video game released in 2013. Amazing, right?
