It seems that Genshin fans really cannot stomach the feeling of going through an empty spot around Yae Miko’s birthday. The official Genshin Impact Twitter account had a bit of its luscious fun, and the internet erupted.
The tweet shows Yae Miko sitting down to snack on some fried tofu when sly foxes arrive and are disrupted by her presence; they want some of her snack! Shadowing the classic Yae Miko playbook, she tells them to bother the Traveler instead. “Your senses are as sharp as ever, huh?” she notes before adding, “Sadly, there’s just one portion—and it’s all mine.” The tweet also sent people off to check out more Yae Miko content over on Genshin Impact’s TikTok, which sent players running.
The responses were, of course, hilarious. The comment section became a tribute to the Electro priestess, turning into birthday wishes, memes, and some… oh dear… rather passionate statements. One user, @Ukigou_dandw, wrote a full-fledged love letter: “Happy birthday to my beautiful and precious queen of the Narukami shrine… you will always live in my heart, you will be eternal in my deepest dreams.” @Symbiote_man laid it out there: “Yae has 10/10 feet btw.”
Some could not resist poking some fun at Yae’s cheeky traits. @muchificent noted, “We’re well acquainted with Yae Miko’s ways to know that she’ll have the Traveler solve problems that she could have solved herself.” Then there was @MTsepa_, barking—literally—”BARK BARK BARK!! Actually… What does a fox say?… Oh well.”
And the pandemonium kept on rolling. Some began picking up on the fact that Yae’s birthday was a day after Raiden Shogun’s, giving rise to conspiracy theories about Hoyoverse’s timing. @3looooool1 joked, “I know what you are hoyo.” Elsewhere, @DuqueDou tweeted something… different, in Spanish: “The truth is, Yae should also choke me with her thighs.” (No, we aren’t going to translate the rest.)
There’s enough evidence in this madness to show that a crazy Yae Miko fandom exists signing “mommy,” “queen,” and simping galore. Feel that love right there. And honestly? One certainly can relate. From the moment she met and threw sharp wit, shining design, and insane energy into the Genshin world and into the people’s hearts, Yae was there.
So happy birthday to the foxiest shrine maiden this side of Teyvat! Blessings on your tofu always being crunchy, all your schemes working out, and your fanbase forever flipped into gone wild. Traveler, good luck with this banquet request, you’re gonna need it.
