There’s a buzz within the Forza Motorsport community, with the excitement and frustration lifted about 24-hour races being teased by the official Forza account. The tweet, in which gamers were invited to say if they would take part in any endurance events in the real world, set off responses ranging from hype to downright demands for changes within the game.
Now, the good part. Some players like @Aston177ash are already preparing for the actual event-soon, the 24 hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Others like @Darkpet1981 are bragging about their endurance races… 6 hours at a stretch… but the real talk for gamers is to have Forza Motorsport really go into some serious 24-hour multiplayer racing.
“Real 24-hour racing in multiplayer or we riot,” summarized @alexj_kim. In contrast, @YukkiGarage had a semi-feasible idea. They commented: “No but if you made like a 24-lap race lobbies we could at least pretend….” Good point. Some people just don’t have the stamina (or free time) for a full day of racing, so a scaled-back version might be a fair compromise.
Then there is that UI matter. @ForzaGrana went on another rant calling for a complete HUD overhaul. The demands: Speedometer in the center, full track map with the position of all cars, better placement of stats, and also a small list of players. “The current HUD design is focused on vehicle progression, which is irrelevant for most players,” they stated. Speaking honestly? They are right. Literally plastering our screen senseless with information is irritating at best. Give us some options to customize for a change!
More bugs were named, as @GazCBG went straight with, “There are also so many bugs in your game.” Ouch. One has to appreciate players’ honesty, being brave enough to say it out loud.
Was there a wish list offered for the car specifiers? More WEC cars, queried @ChefandArbistor. Then @ALRaptor97 kicked with less of a hint, wanting LMH/Dh fragments. And for @xxVehiaxx? They want a French update. That’s it.
The nostalgia crew landed themselves in the discussion, too. @Alcohooligann dug back into Legends and talked about those timed events held by Forza Motorsport 5, such as the Indy 500 achievement. “Good times…I believe there was one for the Indy 500…no more why?” A very appropriate question. Why did that stop?
From amidst the chaos, @Nickkolas361 tossed out a flex, saying they’re marshaling at the real Le Mans 24-hour race.
What’s the news? Thus, the Forza Motorsport gamers emerged very vocal, passionate, and very much detail-oriented. What the community has been made loud and clear is that they want more, begging for endurance races, fixing UI issues, and then reminiscing about the days past.
Will Turn 10 Studios pay attention? Time—and an update, maybe—will tell. But, what one can guarantee is that Forza fans are certainly not slowing down.
