Forza Horizon released another car cast to vote on, and the sentiment from the community is… well, let’s say very mixed. The official Forza Horizon Twitterzine shot the question: “You have the choice between two sporty daily drivers with nearly identical horsepower figures and two electric powerhouses. Which one will you go for?” Unfortunately, the options did exactly zero to build hype and left a lot of players scratching their heads-or downright disappointed.
The choices? Ford Focus ST, BMW 1 Series M Coupe, Hyundai Kona N, and Volkswagen ID.4. On paper, a good mix-sporting hatchbacks, a small performance coupe, and a couple of electric options. Conversely, the community response has been far from shining. One player, Josh Armstrong, was just not having it: “Those options suck. Not 1 single interesting choice. I’ll wait for next weeks options instead.” Ouch. Another commenter under the alias of k4t9ine put it bluntly as “the worst selection ever icl” (“I can’t lie” for the uninitiated).
Well, not everyone was bitter about it. Some had hopes from the more rare options. Ghear III noted that the BMW is a “kinda rare one,” while Tony C93 just couldn’t help voting for the Focus one more time, simply on the basis of the gloriousness of its sound with sport exhaust: “I already have 3 Ford Focus but they sound so nice with the sport exhaust I had to vote to get another one,” followed by a laughing-crying emoji.
And thus coursework with the electric debate. Some backed their support behind the Hyundai Kona N and Volkswagen ID.4, while the rest resorted to defamatory words. Jc loneker will vote for the Kona because Hyundais are rare in the game while calling the ID.4 “ugly and bad.” Instead, Max Torres said, “Kona and ID4 have my vote.”
And here’s a punchline: Some legit just didn’t want any of them. Modularpsu asked, “Can I just, not choose any of them?” with a weary-faced emoticon. There were those that used this opportunity to ask for something more interesting, such as some trophy truck DLC or a new Forza Horizon game altogether. Jeremy Brunner freely pleaded, “We want FH6 please 🙏😭 3 more days to go ….”
What’s there to carry away from all this? The Forza Horizon community is passionate, very opinionated, and not shy about speaking their minds. Some players are all about the rare or underrated picks; others want their favorite cars to sound good, while a handful is already eyeing the next thing. It depends on whom you ask-whether celebrations or downfalls shall be attributed to this week’s selection is half the party.
And hey, at least it isn’t FH4 recycled autoshow cars again! Myra looked pretty relieved: “Finally a decent car selection, no FH4 autoshow cars for once.” So maybe it isn’t all doom and gloom. Either way, though, the vote got everyone talking, and in no time, the results will be in.
While it’s a mixed bag this week, the ray tracing technology continues to excite the gaming community, showing that the industry is always evolving.
