The fans actually went wild in response to the Forzahorizon vibe check on Twitter regarding their cruising tunes-from classic rock to electronic hits, the crowd really pulled through, inspiring some serious playlists.
What are Forza fans belting out while cruising or chilling in the game? We’re about to find out.
Let’s get into these nostalgic hits. Stuff like some real old-time AC/DC rock with @edrummer05 even calling out Highway to Hell, whereas @JasonP739 stays with Stroker’s Theme by Charlie Daniels. And there you have @StatphMAGA going crazy for Michael Jackson’s Beat It and Billie Jean– because nothing screams speed like the King of Pop.
Then, on the flipside, that track has had its share of love from electronic music personality, with @musoliasla shouting for Flight Facilities’ With You (MAM remix) for sunny chill drives while @CrunkinJamaica and @Millie32X shred the asphalt to Porter Robinson’s Language at full throttle. And let’s remember @MiniFletcherTV for that Hospital Records’ pick when it gets to slash the asphalt.
Hell if I know! Classy with classical, says @nymostwanted23 (engine up, obviously), and this ain’t nothing but real star rock thrown in by @Abdallah_challi with Africa by Toto and Back to Black by Amy Winehouse. Meanwhile, @SAKULA_TAN keeps it dusted with some stuff so rare it is probably Aztec Tribe’s Rollin’ In My Ride.
The in-game soundtrack did get some flak from certain quarters. @VKronos92 did declare that nothing from the official playlist makes the cut; hence they chose to fend for themselves on their own playlist. Not to forget that @Ajgingerman doubled down on keeping it all kinds of real by pointing out FH4 censoring CHVRCHES-where the word “God” was just too spicy for the radio edit.
Now why the hell did it even matter? Because Forza Horizon is no ordinary racing game. It is mood. The right song turns any drive into a moment-whether it is drifting in the desert or cruising down a coastal highway. With players meshing their own playlists, that vibe becomes as personal as their ride.
So what now? Perhaps Playground Games will pick some hints and throw a community-curated radio station in the next update. Or perhaps the players will keep playing it their way: soundtrack-for-their-own-adventures, one banging tune at a time.
Either that or this thread will supply you with more tunes to cruise to. Now go on and rock it.
(And if you are still on those vanilla radio stations… what are you even doing?)
