Having marketed a whole new exclusive time event, Dance With Sabrina, the players are, uh, mixed in their feelings. The event runs through 16 June and is centered on a new interactive feature where you dance alongside Sabrina; emotional moments would surely make one break down and ruin the freshly applied makeup-so the game said in a tweet.
While the official account was trying to pop balloons in our hearts, players responded in various ways. Some are pro, some are against, and some are just confused. One player, @jm_twiter123, threw himself on the line begging for a collab with an anime called The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You; while @drewplayz9 threatened to delete the game on jetpacks. Old chaos in the Fortnite community.
Another section of players are really rooting for this one. @Fabret2099 called it an “incredible collaboration,” while @EJdm05 begged Epic to in real life bring the in-game styles. @Stargstrike, meanwhile, is about to burst, not from Sabrina’s side but from Street Fighter skins not being in the shop- priorities, right?
There are those uncooperative sorts when it comes to Dance With Sabrina. @TurciosGer47635 pegged it with “This map literally sucks,” while @Leo_Silva1203 echoed with “so ass.” @ItsYaBoi9754 wanted to hear enough from Fortnite already. Damn, cuzz, who really hurt you?
Now, for the weirdos. @LukeyPookiie is checking for Mac support (good luck with that), @IIxUnknownxII wants custom radio stations, and @Lostjudgme demands XXXTentacion in the game. Because, why not?
Looking at this little event, it feels a mix of rhythm game meets emotional storytelling, and that sort of synopsis pretty much sums up right now what Fortnite is. Anyway, be it for the vibes or for complaining, one thing is certain-Fortnite keeps going in the conversation.
So if you are down for dance, emotional moments, or just to witness the mayhem, rescue some time and put it into experiencing Dance With Sabrina while it still exists, June 16 being the cut-off date. Might want to have some tissues on hand-whether it’s to man up through the emotional ride or for voli rage jetpacks, is, however, your decision.
