Fortnite has done its dose of cosmic havoc with the new Party Up: Celestial Strike event, where players are scrambling to unlock the very limited Iridia Vayne Outfit and Alien Boy Jam Track. The recently started event communicates with squads for some interdimensional rewards-but, as one would imagine, the community feedback is absolute madness.

Let us talk first about the rewards. Iridia Vayne Outfit and Alien Boy Jam Track, chic and sleek with space-warrior vibes, is… well, pretty much what the name says-a funky little beat to drop-your-opponents to. Alas, not all are dancing to the tune of the update. One player was downright furious with the update “Fix your damn trash game why the hell don’t bots drop mini-shields anymore?”-in Spanish, that is. Oof.

And that opened the floodgates for all sorts of other requests. One player has been campaigning for 342 days for Tsuyu Asui from My Hero Academia (respect for that level of dedication!). Others want Kratos back, some are demanding lightsaber pickaxes (like… seriously, how is that not a thing yet?) while the Naruto stans are full throttle at this point, with “We want Naruto back” being practically Fortnite’s rallying cry.

Positive vibes abound in public notes, away from the haters. One member, among many others, wrote, “Sweet just in time for the weekend!” Solos definitely deserve a hearty shout-out since they don’t have to suffer through forced socializing from these quests.

So, goes a big ‘Uhmmm…’ to some requests. Another player is putting in his request for “strippers and alcohol in Brick Life,” who knows, he might just get it. Another cannot shut up about wanting Attack on Titan Wave 2 with Armin and Jean skins. These crossovers just never cease.

And that is when the usual gripes about technical issues follow every update. The crash here, the glitch there, and constant crying of “fix my account.” One player shared a clip of some weird visual bug, wondering if anyone else even saw that. (Spoiler alert: Most probably did.)

The verdict: It is yet another day and another Fortnite event with rewards that, as fate would have it, would be adored by some and detested by others with everything in between-the real recipe for chaos. Fighting for that Iridia Vayne outfit or just ranting about Naruto, one thing is for sure: Epic does keep you well entertained.

Anyway, squad up, get those rewards, and maybe try to simmer down a bit with the Iridian’s whining about bots not dropping any damn shields. Happy hunting, Loopers!
