A serious rumor just hit the dankest DC combos: Superman is teaming up with Fortnite-and in context, we are talking about the movie version of the character here. Straight to the point:
The Man of Steel swooping into the Battle Royale and not just with a regular skin; we’re talking about actual Superman powers. Now let’s discuss it before one of those Epic Games guys wakes up and realizes that the cat’s out of the bag.
This big leak comes from the one and only @FNBRintel (and, ya know, myself; why not). The biggest secret? A Superman skin from the upcoming movie version of DCU. I’m not talking about the Henry Cavill one; this is the freshly minted rebooted Superman from the new one. And frankly? There are already sufficient superhero crossovers in Fortnite; it was about time for one with Superman. That’s the Holy Grail of crossovers.
Here’s where it starts getting interesting about the skin: a myticalsigh! Really, you’re not just going to look like Superman; you’re actually going to be Superman. Or at least a very good imitation. The specifics are still a hazy point of discussion.
The rumor goes that this ability can be leveraged in conjunction with some major heavy lifting-type Superman stuff. As in flying and throwing things, super strength, and perhaps even heat vision, though that’s just a guess. Epic remains mum on the rumor but if true, this would change everything- literally. Land, grab this mythic, and…. well, yeet your opponents out to space. Fair? Ehhh, not really. Fun? Hell yes.
Expect this collab to drop around the time of the movie. It makes sense-Fortnite loves aligning its crossover with big pop culture moments. There is no date for the new Superman film yet, but the vibe is aimed toward late 2024 or early 2025. So yeah, that could be a long wait. Good things come to maniacs who just keep refreshing that Item Shop, though.
What would that do for the steadily increasing roster of Fortnite superheroes? I mean, we’ve had Batman, Spider-Man, Wolverine,and come on, some half the Avengers. Superman would just be the class of the class for superhero crossover possibilities-an instant classic. I mean, this tactic would also work great for DC since their new cinematic universe needs to empower itself. Get them hyped for Superman in Fortnite, and maybe they’d care about the movie. Leaks happen, but then Epic Games might pull a fast one and literally change the story at the last minute. This one feels solid given Fortnite’s history? If it is, boy, get ready for madness. How about 20 Supermen battling over Tilted Towers? At least that’d be worth the meme.
