Epic Games is performing a little 4D chess with their recently broadcasted survey, and it could only be sheer chaos. We’re talking this thing could probably cross into internet-breaking territory. The newly appointed Fortnite survey has been about getting the players’ insights on brands, characters, and franchises. It does not establish anything per se. It is just Epic saying, “What if…?”

So what is going on? Everything that stands for something in pop culture. Video-game deities Kratos’ Blades of Chaos from God of War, Astarion from Baldur’s Gate 3, and even blood-soaked Donkey Kong. Let us not forget the nonchalant inclusion of Ganondorf and Kirby. Just picture it-Kirby sucking all his competitors into Fortnite. That is an imminent war crime.

But the strangeness doesn’t stop there. The survey casually mentioned shows like Chainsaw Man, Better Call Saul, and Xena: Warrior Princess (three times! Because someone at Epic clearly is REALLY pushing for Xena to be in the game). And here’s the brand list: Balenciaga (again? really?), and NASA (space skins, anyone?), and even Hot Topic (emo skins incoming?)-this is basically a fever dream.

But, before you run to the void screaming, keep in mind that surveys don´t always mean that collabs are on the way. Epic is just putting out feelers, trying to find out what exactly is relevant to gamer culture. But honestly, if even half of these happen, Fortnite is gonna achieve crossover utopia. Like, where in the universe can a Master Chief, a Sans from Undertale, and a Peppa Pig conceivably share the same lobby?

Now throw even more bizarre combos in-a Five Nights at Freddy’s encounter with Glamrock Freddy and Chica. How can you build forts while trying to evade an animatronic bear? Nope Nope.

And what about the anime-fanatics? Still glowing on the TV side are Dragon Ball Z Kai, One Piece, Sailor Moon. Can we please start hunting down a Goku skin and one that does NOT look like a potato, please?

The more interesting question is… what isn’t on this list? It’s like Epic threw a dart at a board of every IP ever made and said, “Yeah, maybe.” Even Judge Judy made the cut: JUDGE. JUDY.

So, what does this all mean? Probably nothing…or everything. If they ever manage, Fortnite’s legendary in crossovers; but if they do carry out even a fraction of these? The internet might just implode. Until then, we wait, we speculate, and we pray to gaming deities for Bayonetta to join the party.
