An announcement regarding the Fortnite Star Wars crossover might happen on a recent tweet at 10:30 PM ET. THAT’S RIGHT! TONIGHT. Yep, the hype train is real; the timing? Incidental.
Now it gets interesting: Following the reset of the Item Shop runs a live stream of Star Wars Celebration half an hour. Pretty blunt hint; a panel for all the Fortnite goodies, by the way, will be revealed two hours following the stream. Just coincidence? Epic is not one to roll with coincidences. They roll with collabs and make it BIG.
So, here’s why that’s important. Fortnite has a recent history of going all out with these pop-culture crossover events-Marvel, DC, even freakin’ Travis Scott-but imagine Star Wars? That would be next-level hype. Lightsaber pickaxes, stormtrooper skins, TIE fighter gliders…the sky’s the limit, and knowing Epic, it’ll probably be something crazy instead.
