Ah, buckle up, for the latest drop about Season 3 has hit Fortnite fandoms from Epic Games. It’s not a Hollywood celebrity collaboration, though. They have gone ahead and set the stage with an authentic Victory Umbrella that seems like an Evil Jedi took a few weapons out from his vault. I am talking about lightsabers, baby!
Thus, should you ever succeed in pulling off a Victory Royale in Season 3, it earns you the decorum of the splendid umbrella, which just screams: “May the Fortnite be with you.” What sets the design apart most is this kind of otherworldly aura vibrating from the lightsaber, which frankly induces you to want to smack someone mid-air with it. Obviously, you would look pretty cool doing that on the way down from the Battle Bus!
But why lightsabers? Is that a cheeky double entendre: Perhaps a Star Wars’ crossover is forthcoming before this season’s end? Or, perhaps Epic just really loves them glowing sticks right about now? Whatever the deal, I’ve already heard people going nuts over this.
And the no-official reply-to-the-original tweet, which is something I can’t quite wrap my head around, given everybody on the internet would’ve just imploded by the time. Or maybe everyone is so busy grinding for that umbrella that tweeting is going to have to be put on hold? Or maybe there is an unspoken agreement saying, ‘Yep, this is the way.’
It’s fairly safe to say by now that if you’ve ever just lagged in getting your Victory Royales, well—now is your time to shine. Who wouldn’t want to mockmap with a lightsaber umbrella in the lobby? That’s just the ultimate flex, aside from showing off OG skins and that one dude who somehow manages to max out on shields two minutes into the game.
The island crushes; may the odds and your holding skills be ever in your favor. Or just sit in a bush until the final circle, and we won’t tell you not to.
So, yeah, Epic, we saw that. And approved it. Now, what about a Star Wars event? Any chance we can get a Darth Vader skin to go with this thing? Just asking for a friend.
(Okay, okay, the friend is me. I’m the friend.)
