Coming only on the fourth, the item shop has been soft-launching its resupply, reactions to which have been very mixed. One set asks, “What was that with the Cybertruck through the streets?” and then, “Some gamers are begging for a Street Fighter collab-that’s enough to ever stir the pot with these resets.”
Now, with those fine words said about the style shop, Epic offered the familiar skins, emotes, and wraps, all except one glaringly huge item-the Cybertruck. Yes, now the often scorned meme-mobile of Tesla is drivable in Fortnite. Reactions, meanwhile, might as well be ice-cold. @GAMB1T14 said the vehicle was “ugly ass” and then launches into a rant on “sweat tab” (tryhard cosmetics), whereas @Ryan93092040270 just blurted, “no longer excited for shop resets.” Ouch.
The real drama? WHERE. IS. STREET. FIGHTER. Many players, joining @StarlightAurora, cry into the void asking for Ryu, Chun-Li, or anyone from that fighting game franchise to finally show up in that shop. Some responses speculate that will happen with the new release of SF6 (June 5 or 6) but for now? Radio silence. @nutty2112_ has made an appearance requesting Deltarune skins, as well, because, at this point, why not?
One or two are smiling. @FortKnoxCrypto tossed out a FireMonkey SAC code (Support-A-Creator for those not in the know), well worthy of discussion. On the other hand, @S0UT1SM has accidentally clicked the shop notification before saving a screenshot and is plotting revenge. Relatable.
So what really goes in this update? The same rotating lot but with the Cybertruck taking pride of place-let me guess: you either love it or want to throw it into the ocean. No Miku car (RIP hoped-for car @BeyondPlusChaos), no Street Fighter, but hey, there’s always tomorrow. Or next season. Or…whenever Epic wants to.
Bottom line: Very damnable shop. Some players are hyped, others are this close to uninstalling, and many are just here for the chaos. Keep those SAC codes ready-there must be someone funding the next questionable collab).
