Their LCK spot was soon acquired by a Chinese organization, KSV eSports, which renamed to Gen.G after one split. That organization is present in the LCK to this day. During the 2017 Spring Season, Samsung went 14-4 in sets overall. As they are favorites to win, Samsung was swept by KT Rolster 3-0 in the semifinals, ending their Spring Season. They later competed in their final bid to enter Worlds 2017 in the 2017 Korea Regional Finals where they swept the heavy favorites KT Rolster 3-0. earning them the third seed to Worlds again. The team was placed in Group C along with Royal Never Give Up, G2 Esports, and 1907 Fenerbahçe Esports where they finished 4-2 in groups, both losses from RNG and advanced in the quarterfinals, There they shocked the world by sweeping heavy tournament favorites Longzhu Gaming 3-0, showing that nothing will stand in their way to get their revenge.
