This amusingly bizarre tweet by Fnatic has stirred quite a bit of humorous commentary within the League of Legends community. What was that tweet anyway? One upping with savage wit, “at least our mouse made it to #MSI2025.” The image attached to that tweet is one that pictures that very Fnatic mouse just chilling on a desk, probably somewhere at the venue of the tournament itself! But the real treat is in the replies—utter chaos.
One perhaps must take a quick detour to understand why there is even such a hullabaloo. MSI or Mid-Season Invitational is among the bigger LoL tournaments of the year, with Fnatic being one of the iconic esports organizations in Europe which has gone through highs and lows. Now, with Fnatic not maybe in the best time when it comes to performance, winnings for their peripherals are definitely good bragging rights. The tweet is a playful jab, maybe at themselves, maybe at another competitor, and the gamers are loving it.
Replies are a mixture of hype, memes, and frantic confusion. @_gdf clapped back,” You forgot to #DIADEFURIA and @tatulol_,” which… okay, no idea what that means, but it sounds intense. @_Jo_shh_ went with after, “Thats why he choke.” Ouch. Someone’s not holding back. Meanwhile, @Fnaticango is out here asking, “You guys think this is funny? 🤨” Like, yeah, we kinda do.
But the real MVP section of comments go like this:
“KKKKKKKKKKKKKKK 5 brazillians and 1 Fnatic Mouse.” For the newbies, “KKKKK” is Brazilian internet laughter (like “hahaha” but extra). And “5 Brazilians” might be a shout out to FURIA, a Brazilian org creating a lot of noise lately. So yeah, the mouse is representing more than some teams.
Thereafter, comments reignited some Fnatic vs. G2 talk in the replies: “@tremcarojr: Fnatic > G2” while “@UnknownOssaFi: Furia > G2,” fueling the never-ending rivalry. Let’s take a moment and recall “@TaxesMadeMePoor: fnc about to lose to g2 (valorant excluded) once again 🥲🥲,” which hits a little too close to home.
Red Bull Gaming even went and placed a record with “made it!” Shoutout to the real MVP.
Back to the mouse, what IS this? Next-level sponsorship flex? Shaded hardware for being more reliable than actual gameplay? Or is it just Fnatic’s social media account having some fun? Honestly, it’s probably all of the above. Esports Twitter is just crazy, and Fnatic know how to master it.
Beautifully said; MSI 2025 is going to be such a banger. Unless Fnatic’s team is going to be the main show this time around; the mouse definitely won a bunch of hearts, and next year it could be a whole rig.
So that was a story on how this one seemingly inconsequential tweet ended up becoming one of the biggest talking points within the LoL universe. Never change, esports. Never ever.
