Final Fantasy XVI for the Xbox has long been considered a much-awaited title. Officially, the Final Fantasy XVI Twitter account dropped a new video featuring Ben Starr as Clive and Nina Yndis as Benedikta celebrating the Xbox release. By way of the video (shared on YouTube), all an Xbox fan could wish for are sublime visuals and much action.
One hopes the reactions provide more fun than the announcement itself. Some are rejoicing while others are fuming, while a few are genuinely… confused. “Who is Jill?” was one such query while another cried, “Why isn’t there a PS5 Pro patch yet?” So much gamer chaos!
Speaking of patches, a gaggle of PS die-hards continues to hold out for this mythical PS5 Pro patch before diving into FFXVI, while the Xbox community just keeps smilin
g and applauding with joy because the game is finally in their grasp. Someone even joked about Ben Starr “wasting his time promoting Xbox”—ouch. But at least there is some positivity about the game.
Now the entire thing boils down to whether this game deserves to be picked up on Xbox or has forever been a PlayStation game for so cheap origin. Some argue that now that it is cheap, why not? Others are just like, ‘Nah, I will wait for a sale.’ That one guy vigorously clinging to the FF XIII trilogy calls it the “dark horse” of the series.
And then we can never forget that irrational frog comment. Because who would not want to drag frogs into a conversation?
Plenty of the irate ones on the Playstation side keep holding out for some super supposed PS5 Pro patch, meanwhile, the Xbox players are grinning and applauding with uncontained joy for having their game now. One user even joked Ben Starr is “wasting his time promoting Xbox”—ouch. But at least the game has some sort of positive momentum.
From here comes the whole question of whether the game deserves to be picked up on Xbox or has been on PlayStation for so long, being a player of cheaper origin. Some argue now it is cheaper, so why not? Others are like, ‘Nah, I will wait for a sale.’ Then there is that one dude clinging to the FF XIII trilogy calling it “the dark horse” of the series. Respect.
And then we shall never forget that random frog comment. Because who wouldn’t bring up frogs?

Giggly.
As for that comment about frogs will be remembered forever. Because who would bring up frogs?
And the game is buttery smooth on Xbox with all the big battles and epic storytelling the series has ever come up with. The Ben Starr as Clive shtick is already winning hearts left and right, and Nina Yndis as Benedikta is an equally enticing prophecy. The video features some jaw-dropping moments, so if you’re even half interested in RPGs, this is one for you.
Will FFXVI top sales on the Xbox side? There are a few skeptics who already see it to flop; some others have once fired it up. Either way, it is a big win for the Xbox gamers who have been holding their breath awaiting the opportunity to experience this chapter of the Final Fantasy saga. And perhaps now is the time for many Square Enix titles to find their way to Xbox itself.
The real question for now is: When is the PS5 Pro patch coming? Because apparently, there are people who will not go to rest until that is accompanied.
Meanwhile, if on Xbox, then FFXVI is a curious dive for any action-packed RPG. Just do not ask Ben Starr about Jill unless you want chaos to follow.
