The official tweet from the @FallGuysGame brand with a bean “real 2020 vibe” stirred the reply tornado. Some gamers really loved it, some roasted it, and some asked for other fixes for things not yet fixed for a long while. Pure classic Fall Guys spirit.
Before we roll into all the drama, the bean needs talking. The design-the players already took the liberty of dubbing it “Dragon Knight” or “Dino Knight,” according to whom you ask-is that strange mix of class with horror. A player says, “Stellar Ancient Spooky Knight,” which honestly, sounds more like a rejected anime title. Others on the other hand never quite got into the design. Said one user, “The colors weren’t even out until 2021” with Jun shouting to the devs, “YOU DONT EVEN KNOW YOUR OWN GAME.” Was it harsh? Maybe. Was it hilarious? Very much so.
Now, there’s nostalgia to talk about. A few of the replies referenced Fall Guys 2020, one player quipping, “Mediatonic acknowledging the 2020s era of Fall Guys was not on my bingo card this year.” Another one called for a throwback game mode with only 2020 maps, which, to be honest, probably would have broke the internet if that had gone through. And the 2020 vibes here are strong while demands for updates were in full force there. Some PS4 players spoke about how matches freeze midway, Lou Lou ツ ranting, “I have to waste 7 seconds every time I start a game, and it’s made me lose matches.” Ouch.

The players begged the devs to release the design since not everyone has all the pieces to make it themselves. Meanwhile, Ted Barnes was hoping it was all an elaborate tease for locker presets—because seriously, organising Fall Guys cosmetics could be a mini-game in its own right.
The real drama began with the name. The aid-ladenly heated battle between Dragon Knight versus Dino Knight! Insisting his was a dragon, CoolT35 conceded while xX_T0asty_Xx refused to back down with the words, “Still gonna call him Dino Knight cuz funi.” Ain’t ever been changed by the internet.
Now, what do we really learn from this? Fall Guys players are passionate, messy, and witty. The Build A Bean feature is certainly beloved but it also draws in complaints. And if nothing else, it gave us a wonderful new name for a bean. Dragon Knight forever. Or Dino Knight. Whatever. Just go and fix the freezing screens, Mediatonic.
