EA announced Sea of Solitude in 2018, and for a long time, fans have waited for an official date. On July 5th you will finally get to delve into a story-driven world as you guide young women named Kay through a flooded city. During your journey, you will have to confront creatures and monsters to help remove "tainted memories" from the world and try to bring more light into the city.\r\n\r\nYour goal is to end Kay's loneliness. "Sea of Solitude centers on the essence of loneliness and tugs on the heartstrings of its players by mirroring their reality. It's by far the most artistic and personal project I've ever created, written during a very emotional time in my life," said Cornelia Geppert, CEO of Jo-\u00adMei Games, during an interview. This game is very close to Geppert, and because of that, it has an authentic feel to the fictional narrative that is being shared.\r\n\r\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aWY76dNvXyo\r\n\r\nThe game promises to be an enriching experience. As a story-driven narrative, you share the adventure with Kay and will find yourself wanting to finish the journey. EA is leaving the game, as they do with all their EA Originals, in its standard state and there will be no significant edits coming from the company.\r\n\r\nSea of Solitude was first announced in 2015 and in 2016 EA added it to their EA Original's lineup. Fans were immediately fascinated with its unique art style and emotional drive. The game is designed by a German studio Jo-Mei games and has gained significant traction since EA picked them up.\r\n\r\n"Players must help Kay see below the surface and beyond guiding her through a flooded city landscape in a deeply touching tale of darkness and light. As waters rise and fall to reflect her state of mind, Kay will meet fantastical creatures and monsters, learn their stories and solve challenges to rid the world of tainted memories." EA said in a press release.\r\n\r\nThe game is a metaphor for loneliness. Overall it will lead to many emotional payoffs on self-discovery and healing.\u00a0 The long wait has driven fans into speculation, but with its upcoming release, the fanbase will finally have their answers.\r\n\r\nThis game will be a perfect collection to long term and new gamers alike sharing in a storytelling element that feels absent in many other games. With a unique world and a beautiful art style, it will be an adventure to experience again and again.\r\n\r\nThe game will be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Upon release, it will cost $20 and be available on the Origin store for PC.
