This Wednesday Electronic Arts announced its plans to add Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker to Star Wars Battlefront II with new reinforcements, playable heroes, a new horizon/planet and much more planned for the game throughout this month.
EA will add the first entry of this content on the 17th of December. However, it won’t be active until the 20th of December when Rise of Skywalker movie releases in the theaters before they can play in the new arena being teased by EA.
There is a list of things to look out for on the 17th — things like new reinforcements, collaborative experiences, and hero appearances. Out of the further reinforcements, four of them are so far, two of which work with the Resistance, and the other two align with the First Order. The invader will come as a Sith trooper who’s excellent in speed and stealth weaponry. On the other hand, the Jet Troopers banks on a blaster rifle, a grenade attachment, and a jetpack.
For now, EA isn’t focused on the Resistance reinforcements because they would be more of a spoiler to the movie’s release. So it will possibly be revealed closer to the movie release date.
‘A new ‘Gunner and spy’ faction will be arming up for the Resistance,’ according to EA’s post on its website. They continued saying: ‘these are two new alien species from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.’

The Hero appearances to expect will be for Rey, Kylo Ren, and Finn alongside the collaborative experiences scheduled on the 17th of December update. Then we would see the new horizon/planer added to the game after the movie. However, this planet has been teased before, and the people call it Ajan Kloss, still EA held back from calling it or unveiling the planet in detail.
EA noted, ‘We’re bringing this planet to Co-op in December, where players can either identify as the First Order or the Resistance as the conflict spread throughout this tropical scenery.’ ‘Also, at the same time, the locations will be present in Villians vs. Heroes, too. The sequel era spots such as Jakku, Starkiller Base, and Takodana will join the Co-Op spin also—and having all the mentioned planets with both defense and offense scenarios.’
On that note, EA still plans to continue disbursing more content even until January as two more heroes will be included in the game and also a sequel era version of Capitol Supremacy. It was too evident in the post on their website that Star Wars Battlefront II: Celebration Edition is as it’shown by the tweet above.
So, fans should watch out for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker content this month and until January.
