The developer Bungie, on the very eve of another arrival of DLC content, has unleashed the much-needed bomb: The Nine collectively raised pickup for triumphs under the Rite of the Nine, allowing players to bag that ever-so-rare ETERNAL title. Sound easy? Ohhh no! It drove the community into madness, and the answers turned into pure gold.
First and foremost: breaking down what’s going on. The Nine-those mysterious cosmic entities-are basically challenging the Players to prove their worth. Complete these insane triumphs and you get to put that ETERNAL title on display. Now, of course, some of these triumphs are under Ultimatum: That is Bungie’s way of saying, “If you like pain, here is more pain.”
Split they are. Players like Thee_White_Wolf just shrug: “Got it. Was fun to chase.” On the other hand, players like iiam_ashh go further: “Hell I ain’t even finish getting gold for the 2nd and 3rd part for Ghost of the Deep šš¤¦š½āāļø.” Then, there’s Revjerryo, who just said “The nine also wish you’d do something about cheaters in crucible. Anti-cheat anytime soon? No? Well thanks for spending resources developing armor ornaments. Jfc.”
Hunters running the real drama: Sluushu said this scorching: “I try & because everyone in the lfg hates Hunters, I swapped to Wellock. Iām STILL out dps-ing Titans despite not using this class since Beyond Light times.” Poor Hunter mains feel like Bungie forgot they exist while Warlocks and Titans are just chilling.
Then LFG problems start: Khaosdoom just gets it right: “I want to do ultimatum but it’s always one person who messes it up… after the 100th time I’m done.” We’ve all been there. That one guardian who died in the safest spot possible? Yeah. That guy.
Really the question here: does this title drop with the next DLC? EmpySan drops the hard question: “Is this going away when the new dlc comes?” So far, no confirmation by Bungie, but if you look at their track record, quite a possibility. So… if you want the ETERNAL glamor, gruelling get.
Oh, and did I forget all that random trolling in the responses? DgsAlaska goes in with the most relatable tweet: “I keep getting killed, can you create a patch to stop that?” Meanwhile, RangerRick711 is confronted by a wild conversation of his own: “184 gigabytes? WTF.. thanks got to get a refund now. BTW your website says it’s 165 fix it.”
At the very end, the ETERNAL title represents the classic Bungie idea: rewards for the hardcore, frustrations for the casual, and strike up the internet. Are you grinding for this? Or is BHoodieHood just going to mow my lawn with grooming scissors? Either way, vanilla Destiny 2 never gets out of drama.
