Dauntless is finally ready to leave early access later this month. The game’s developer, Phoenix Labs has officially confirmed the game’s latest patch, 1.0 will be released on September 26 together with new seasonal content.

Dauntless is a free-to-play RPG game that is developed by Phoenix Labs and published by Epic Games. The game falls in the hunting genre. Players will play the role of a slayer and set out to hunt iron beasts called the Behemoths and take them down. Throughout the game, players will collect items that will be used to create and upgrade weapons and equipment.

Set in fantasy land, the game takes place in a ruined world that has been destroyed by a tragic event. Beastly creatures will emerge and prey on the few surviving humans.

During the game, players utilize a combo attack system to take down the monsters, while at the same time, monitor their health and endurance meter. Additionally, players can tackle the powers of the hunted Behemoth and transform the creature’s parts into powerful weaponry. One hunt can take up to 20 minutes to complete. Players can choose to play alone or collaborate with up to four players.

Back on May 21 this year, the games launched its early access to Epic games. Contrary to what many people believe, the game that was launched in May was not the fully developed game (even though the game developer called it their official launch date). What was release was only an updater named the 0.8.0 patch, which is still far from complete and did not represent the full game.

Recently, the game developer announced that the game’s 1.0 patch would arrive later this month. Again, this update is by no means represents the complete game, even if it did go through a few developments.

The latest chapter called Aether Unbound will bring in a vicious new beast (Behemoth) called Tempestborne Stormclaw that is destroying the Shattered Isles. To slay the new ferocious beast, new allies will appear and bring along a powerful slaying method, the Aether Strikers.

Also, the new season will introduce a new bounty system that provides a new way of hunting, earning experience, and Hunt Pass.

The launch is not the end game. The game developer promises to continue developing the game and bring in fresh content, seasonal updates, and unique Hunt Passes, to make sure that a constant flow of new content will continuously enthrall the players for years to come.
