The popular Cyberpunk 2077 game from the creators of The Witcher 3 has a high level of graphics that not every PC can handle, but now gamers have discovered a new method to raise FPS by 100% even on a weak machine.

However, not every modern computer can pull such quality. Gamers still found a way to raise FPS in Cyberpunk 2077 without the financial cost of upgrading the system.

Modder PotatoOfDoom1337 has released his new project, which includes AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 technology.

It takes lower resolution frames and upscales them to save PC resources. To do this, the technology itself “draws” the missing pixels based on previous frames.

As a result, the player gets a higher frame rate without any noticeable quality loss.

The author of the mod stated that on his Nvidia GTX 1080 video card in the game Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K resolution, it was possible to increase the FPS from 22 frames per second to 45; that is, the performance increase was 100%.

At the same time, the picture quality is almost identical. It is worth noting that the author has not yet completed work on connecting all the features of AMD FSR 2.0.

The modification will be gradually improved but is already available to everyone. However, FidelityFX 2 cannot be used to the maximum since not everything can be applied in the form of a mod.

The author hopes that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt developers themselves will release a patch for Cyberpunk 2077 and fully implement this technology on their own.

It is worth noting that Cyberpunk 2077 supports AMD FSR 1.0 by default, but this technology is significantly inferior to the second version. To achieve a sufficient increase in FPS without loss of quality will not work.

In addition, the game supports Nvidia DLSS 2.0, but it can only be enabled by owners of RTX 20xx and RTX 30xx series graphics cards.

At the same time, the FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0 mod will be effective on any video card that is somehow capable of running Cyberpunk 2077.
