CD Projekt Red recently informed fans of Cyberpunk 2077 that another full Season 3 trailer is on the way. The certification tweet put the community into a shock wave, with no warnings, nor dates, but that fire emoji said it all. Hold up, chooms.

The tweet was short, hype, and just hits the nail with the checkmark, flames, and link. So CDPR: no extra words, no games; just boom-more Night City chaos. Besides, after Season 2’s roller-coaster (very Phantom Liberty), the fans are losing it over whatever comes next.

But here is the thing-replies are not there. Naught. Nil. Which is…weird? A tweet like this normally sees an avalanche of fans screaming theories, begging for dates, or at least dropping 🔥 emojis in solidarity. Instead? Crickets. Maybe everybody’s reloading the page for the trailer? Or it just might have been thrown into the black hole of Twitter-algorithm under Elon.

So what in the world could possibly be overcrowding Season 3? Phantom Liberty merged a lot! Night City is big. Speculations could include:

New story DLC? CDPR did say Phantom Liberty is the very one expansion, so that’s against it. Who knows…

Major gameplay updates? Who knows? Possibly vehicle combat’s here at last.

Teases for a sequel? Okay, that’s way off. Then again, a merc can dream.

Or the biggest twist-it’s just a trailer announcing Edgerunners Season 2. (Don’t play with our hearts like that, CDPR.)

One thing is clear: CDPR is an artist at keeping fans on their toes. Little by little, they are working towards winning back the players after a horrible launch. Phantom Liberty was huge; Update 2.0 fixed a lot; and… this just keeps the people interested.

So keep your eyes peeled, samurai. The trailer drops, and the internet will burst. By then, there might even be an one reply to this.

Until then? Another Phantom Liberty run while pretending not to watch YouTube like crazy.
