Sony recently dropped the latest gameplay trailer for Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled, and if you haven’t seen it, you can check it out below.
Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is a remake of the original Crash Team Racing, but its contents aren’t limited to that game, as it’ll feature a ton of additional characters and tracks. On top of that, there’s a ton of bonus content that will be available for those who have pre-ordered the digital version of CTR Nitro Fueled.
As for when the game will be available for the Nintendo Switch, well, unfortunately, that information isn’t available at the moment. It’s quite possible that, much like with other Switch titles, it’ll become available for the console after midnight.
On top of featuring all of the tracks from the original version, which was released back in 1999, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled also features tracks from 2003’s Crash Nitro Kart. Essentially, the game took all of the content from the two aforementioned classic racing games, added a few new modes, and sharpened up the graphics and gameplay,
In total, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled will feature 31 playable tracks and 12 battle arenas. Also, developer Activision plans on adding more content to the game after it’s released, all of which will be completely free to download.
After Nitro Fueled is officially released, the game’s very first Grand Prix will begin on July 3. During the event, players will gain access to a brand new track called Twilight Tour, where they’ll compete to earn progress toward the game’s various customization options, such as new characters, skins, karts, and stickers.
Also, much like the original titles, Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled will have a local multiplayer option, as a split-screen mode will be included.
As previously noted, the digital version of Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is available to be preloaded now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and both versions will unlock at 6 PM Pacific, 9 PM Eastern.
