BOOM! For a follow-up to the initial 2019 series, Studios and IDW Publishing are collaborating once more.
For the follow-up, author Ryan Parrott is back, and inside art will now also be handled by cover artist Dan Mora.
Although the series’ premise is still largely unknown, Boom has promised that the sequel will surpass even the sillier scenes from the first film, as such when Shredder used the Green Ranger’s might.
According to a press release from Senior Editor Dafna Pleban, “The inaugural Formidable Morphin Power Rangers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles meet up resulted in legendary moments like the introduction of the Green Ranger Shredder, the Ninja Rangers, and the mighty Turtlezord!” Wait until you witness what happens next for both teams when they encounter well-known characters and unexpected enemies in an adventure filled with brand-new, shocking twists and urns if you believe that nothing cibly top that!
As the monthly series approaches issue #100, BOOM! Studios also unveiled their grand ambitions for the Power Rangers brand in addition to this big crossover. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #101 from October ushers in a brand-new state of affairs known as “Recharged.”
After a period in which the original Rangers Jason, Trini, and Zack appeared in their own, independent series, the complete team will be back together, and the united Rangers will face out against fresh foes and dangers to Angel Grove.
A new creative team will be introduced to the series. Previously a producer on the TV show, writer Melissa Flores will collaborate with artist Simona Di Gianfelice on this project (All-New Firefly).
The opportunity to write Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is a genuine dream come true for Flores, who added, “I can’t stop pinching myself.” “The upcoming issues will include a crazy adventure that aims to commemorate the wonderful legacy of this legendary series and push the Rangers to their very boundaries,” says the author.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #101 and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II #1 will be released in October and December of 2022, respectively.
