A new batch of games is set to roll out for PS Plus members in March. Until these games release, though, there is still time to download one of the best collections of all time. That is — of course — BioShock: The Collection. It will be available all the way until March 3. So if you haven’t had the chance to add it to your download queue, now’s the perfect time.

The collection includes remastered versions of BioShock, BioShock 2, and BioShock Infinite. That’s an incredible value that can be yours for absolutely nothing. If you’ve never experienced a BioShock game, then you’re in for a true treat.

These games are very atmospheric and feature amazing first-person shooting action. You’re not just given guns, although there is a  great mix in every one of these installments. Rather, the developer has also given you elemental powers to use at your disposal. For example, you can throw fire balls and incinerate opponents or freeze them with ice. There are so many traits that you’ll equip to your character as you progress.

The elemental powers are powered with your left hand while you wield weapons with the right. It’s an ingenious design that has helped this franchise go on to achieve a cult-like following over the years. After acquiring a new skill, you can enhance it by collecting Adam. It’s a genetic material that transforms your character in each installment.

To get this genetic material, though, you’ll have to harvest it from Little Sisters. They are protected by Big Daddies, which are some of the most iconic antagonists in video game history. They are huge and can deal a ton of damage with just one blow. Taking them down is a challenge at first, but as you progress and enhance your attributes, they’ll become subsequently easier to deal with.

All of these installments also feature compelling stories. There is always the sense that things are not what they appear. You’ll get to put the pieces together and figure out what’s truly going on. In each installment, there is a villain you’ll have to overthrow. The developer put a lot of thought behind them, which makes you care about the stories all the more.

It’s incredible that the collection is finally being offered for free to PS Plus members. You would be hard-pressed to find a better value. Even if you’re not familiar with this iconic and beloved series, you’ll enjoy hours of amazing first-person shooter action.
