Over on Twitter, Ubisoft’s latest tweet pitched some relaxed flexing which has got forums buzzing – Assassin’s Creed Shadows is really eye-pleasing by strong PlayStation 5 Pro vibes. The tweet? Just “Taking in the sights 🇯🇵🗾” with #AssassinsCreedShadow #PS5Pro. Nothing too much; No grand announcements. Just vibe. And honestly? That’s all it needed.

Assuming it also shows either a picture or video because that URL is hidden behind it, presupposes that ancient Japan, the location for Shadows, looks as if it’s going to make your update-generation console weep.

Months and months of these hordes of PS5 Pro rumors also came with Ubbi tossing that hashtag into the mix, kind of starting to feel as if they’re throwing winks toward enhanced visuals or performance upgrades. Maybe ray tracing sharp enough to touch the cherry blossoms. Maybe load times fast enough for you to miss the historical loading screen trivia. Who knows!

Weird, would that be – no replies. None below the tweet either, that is. Which is… strange, considering the ac fanbase could be heard shouting “GIVE US GAMEPLAY” or “WHERE’S THE RELEASE DATE?” or at least some good debate as to whether the game can flop without the classic hidden blade (chill, it’s coming back). Instead? Crickets.

Maybe everyone is just staring at the scenery and hasn’t had time to tap. Or who knows, maybe Ubisoft shadowbanned replies (little speculation is very much fun).

Nope, clearly Ubisoft is playing it cool and letting the game do all the talking. And if this is indeed the level of detail we are treated to, even in a teaser, then Shadows may very well be the prettiest Assassin’s Creed yet. Now, if only they would let us know whether that PS5 Pro upgrade is for real or just a bunch of hype.

Indeed, keep those eyes open, people! Stunned Landscapes and next-gen mumblings… Shadows’s got to be great in every way. Here’s hoping this reply glue is just because the pre-order pool is so high that no one can complain. Or, you know, maybe the algorithm just buried it. Social media’s weird like that.
