Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has been out for a long time now, and as we eagerly await news on the next Assassin’s Creed title, a patch has been announced for Odyssey, which will see a number of bug fixes that improve the overall experience of this open world Ancient Greece adventure.
The new patch is called 1.5.3, and when you see the sheer size of it, you’re likely to be surprised. It’s a whopping 3.8 GB on the PlayStation 4, whereas the PC and Xbox One updates are closer to 4 GB.
What comes with all of that data? It’s going to be three pretty minor bug fixes.
The big fix that this patch sets to alleviate centers around an issue that’s specific to PC. It was causing crashes for anyone running a Radeon RX 5700 GPU. There’s also going to be a fix for the descriptions for legendary chest maps, specifically for the Spanish language version of the game.
Ubisoft is also going to finally be addressing a pop up hyping new content that never disappears once the player takes control of the Melania mount.
Of course, it’s not all just bug fixes. There’s some fun to be had in this update as well. Developers over at Ubisoft are teasing a new costume to go with the Ezio Roman set. You’ll be able to unlock it by completing certain community activities. More details will be announced in the future on how you can unlock this new costume.
Ezio is, of course, the main character from Assassin’s Creed 2. He is perhaps the most well known and beloved character in the history of the franchise, going on to star in three games, plus an animated movie.
He was an assassin that lived in Renaissance Italy and took up the hood after his father and brother were murdered by the Templars.
After Assassin’s Creed 2, Ezio gets a second game in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, which picks up directly after the events of the last game. Ezio goes to Rome, the only major Italian city to not be featured in Assassin’s Creed 2, where he hunts the legendary Borgia family.
After that, there’s Assassin’s Creed Revelations, where Ezio leaves Italy and travels to Constantinople. This game also lets you take control of Altair, the Assassin from the original Assassin’s Creed.
It is highly rumored that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be called Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok, and it will center around Vikings and Norse mythology.
