For just $14.99, Ubisoft is the next gaming company readying up to offer a gaming subscription service to PC users.
The well-known video game corporation is known for significant titles such as Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Not only will these games be available with the monthly service, but so will over one hundred others – including the Far Cry series, Watchdogs Legion, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
Uplay+ will provide unlimited access to Ubisoft favorites as well as fresh content. According to the official page for the subscription service, “Access a growing catalog that includes new releases, latest games, classic titles and beloved PC franchises.”
Ubisoft will be providing access to its extensive library of PC games, with a full list of available titles coming soon. Uplay+ will also allow purchasers to take advantage of extra game content like expansion packs, downloadable content, and premium versions instead of standard edition games.
But what could be better than an affordable gaming subscription service with the intention to continue expanding in the future? A free monthly trial available to users who sign up before August 15th.
Ubisoft users can access a free version of Uplay+ by heading over to the official Uplay+ page, logging in to their Ubisoft account, and clicking the ‘Try it for free’ option. It’s as easy as clicking a button and waiting for additional information on the free trial, which will be shared in an e-mail from Ubisoft shortly before Uplay+ goes live.
Along with the free trial, users who play Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Watchdogs Legion during this time will be able to access exclusive content in-game.
If all of that doesn’t sound nice enough, the free trial will last for the duration of a month, so users can expect plenty of time to try out all the games Ubisoft is offering. This list will continue to be updated with new content as the subscription service expands, though 100+ titles is a great place to start.
Uplay+ will be available for purchase starting September 3rd, 2019 with the option to cancel the membership at any time. Doing so will keep the service from charging the next month; however, users will still have access to whatever’s left for the duration of their current month.
In 2020, Uplay+ will also be available directly through Google’s upcoming gaming platform, Stadia, but until then the subscription service welcomes Windows PC users and will allow them to download content directly after purchase at no additional charge.
