Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 were stunned by the game’s incredibly accurate portrayal of Amsterdam in one of the campaign scenarios. Everything that has been seen of Infinity Ward‘s new Call of Duty title fits in with the new generation of visually beautiful current-gen games, despite the smaller file size of the impending Modern Warfare 2 compared to its predecessor.

Fans of the Call of Duty series can’t wait for Modern Warfare 2, which launches on October 28 and features new game modes like Warzone 2 and Ground War, as part of one of the largest game franchises of all time.

Despite the hype, the September beta for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, plagued by hackers spoiling the multiplayer experience with vulnerabilities, left much to be desired. Removing gunfire signs off the minimap was one of the most divisive changes to the game’s mechanics, which developers said were added to increase the game’s realism.

Though some players are genuinely enthusiastic, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is already mired in controversy due to its adoption of Overwatch’s phone number account limitations.

However, Modern Warfare 2’s visuals are particularly remarkable, especially in light of their realistic presentation. According to GamesRadar, gamers like Pak Schaal have found that a campaign mission in MW2 features a compelling and authentic rendition of Amsterdam.

Pak Schaal uploaded a video to YouTube showcasing the Dutch city in MW2 in all its beauty, complete with walking tourists, ambient noise, damp bricks, parked automobiles, and tranquil, gorgeous water. There is a stunning realism to the lighting as well.

On October 20, the campaign and several preorder bonuses for Modern Warfare 2 will become available to those who pre-ordered the game. As for everyone else, MW2 will be available on October 28. Current-gen console and PC gamers will be able to enjoy the photorealistic Amsterdam and every other visually beautiful destination in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 despite concerns that crossplay may damage the game.
