American boutique computer company MAINGEAR launched the new custom engineered MAINGEAR ELEMENT Gaming Laptop, manufactured in collaboration with Intel. It’s been quite a successful year for the award-winning PC system integrator. In January, the company released the APEX SPECTRUM, the industry-first RGB for liquid cooling and later on, the MAINGEAR VYBE Gaming PC.
“At MAINGEAR, we’re passionate about redefining the type of aesthetic consumers expect from ‘gamer’ products,” said Wallace Santos, MAINGEAR’s founder, and CEO. “Working with Intel to design the ELEMENT was an absolute joy, as it perfectly encapsulates our design philosophy of developing products that excel in both style and substance. We think the ELEMENT is the perfect notebook for the modern gamer and content creator.”
The ELEMENT has been configured with a 15.6″ IPS 1920×1080 display for 1080p gaming. It also features an impressive 144Hz refresh rate. Together with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, it guarantees smooth gameplay, without screen tearing, stuttering and motion blur. It also boasts ShadowPlay, a DVR-style Instant Replay mode and Ansel, a revolutionary technology that allows for in-game shot capturing and 360 degrees view.
Under the hood, MAINGEAR used a 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H processor clocked at 2.60 GHz with a recorded turbo of 4.5 GHz. The Intel CPU is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q design, the power saving variant of the RTX 2070. While the CPU might not be the best there is so far, the GPU packs a punch and is actually capable of Ray-Tracing.
To sustain those long gaming sessions, MAINGEAR engineered the revolutionary Dual Fan Copper Vapor Chamber Cooling System. As for memory and storage, the ELEMENT gaming laptop has a 32 GB DDR4-2666 RAM and 2 TB NVMe SSD for fast loading times.
At 20.5 mm thin, the MAINGEAR ELEMENT may not be the thinnest of gaming laptops, but the Magnesium Alloy chassis is something to die for. It also sports an RGB Mechanical Keyboard and RGB Light Bar which can be customized via the pre-installed MAINGEAR NODE software.
As for connectivity, the ELEMENT has Wi-Fi 6, Thunderbolt 3.0/USB Type C, Network Port, and USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports. For external displays, this laptop is capable of 4K HDR video output through the HDMI 2.0 connection.
Starting yesterday, the MAINGEAR ELEMENT Launch Edition has been on offer, with just 50 units up for sale. The Launch Edition comes in a black-on-black finish and tags along a MAINGEAR Classic Backpack and a hard shell travel case. The Launch Edition has a price tag of $2199 and is available exclusively on the MAINGEAR website.
The MAINGEAR ELEMENT Standard Edition will be available this fall at MAINGEAR and all other retail partners. So far, the price hasn’t been revealed, but it certainly won’t exceed $2200.
