Plumbella, a well-known Sims content maker, announced their latest KitKat for Sims 4, Pastel Pop. Pastel Pop was one of two rumored future Sims 4 Kits that leaked earlier this week; however, neither KitKatThe Sims team had confirmed KitKit until today. Plumbella, as Jesse McNamara, has over 700,000 YouTube followers and is widely recognized as a leading Sims maker for their insightful films covering topics including the game’s backstory and creative construction challenges.

The Sims Twitter account broke the news of the partnership with Plumbella, including the contents and release date of the KitKat. Plumbella was also featured in an interview on the EA website, in which they discussed their design approach. According to the site, the new Pastel Pop Kit furniture and decorations will have “plenty of new furniture, mirrors, ornamental ‘tchotchkes,’ shelves, and desk things” and “bring a soft pastel color palette to the game, along with fun, distinctive patterns of funky shapes.” Each of these kits and the Pastel Pop Kit will be available on November 10.

Content creators for The Sims have shown increased interest in the game recently. For instance, Lil simple designed most of the environment for The Sims 4: Snowy Escape Expansion Pack, and James Turner was responsible for creating lots in The Sims 4: Werewolves Game Pack. A higher standard is applied to properties that Simmers has improved than others.

While developers may be well-versed in the inner workings of The Sims 4’s code, they are far from experts at playing the game, especially when compared to content creators who invest multiple hours per week into designing and playing. However, some of them, like Plumbella, have been with the show for over a decade and are well-versed in construction best practices. Thus, they have a deeper understanding of the goals of the average Sims 4 player.

With Plumbella on board, the Sims 4 Pastel Pop Kit could have the most promise of any Sims 4 Kit to date, though players will have to wait until the Kit’s release later this month to draw definitive conclusions.
