Riot Games released the last patch for Teamfight Tactics of the year.
The patch has significant quality of life updates to the Interface for the player, which will make it more accessible and not require additional add-ons to be able to play the game properly.
New Soulbound champions – Senna and Lucian.
Senna – Tier 2, Origin: Shadow, Class: Soulbound
Ability: Piercing Darkness. Senna fires a beam through her furthest ally, dealing 50/100/150 magic damage to enemies, and buffing allies’ on-hits for 5 seconds to deal 25/45/75 magic damage from Senna.
Lucian – Tier 4, Origin: Light, Class: Soulbound
Ability: The Culling. Lucian fires 10 + (2X his attacks per second) bullets in a direction over 4 seconds, each dealing 25/30/50% of his Attack Damage, applying on-hits, and dealing 40/50/100 additional magic damage.
New Warden Tier 5 champion – Amumu, Tier 5, Origin: Inferno, Class: Warden
Ability: Curse of the Sad Mummy – Amumu explodes in an infernal tantrum, dealing 150/250/1337 magic damage to all enemies within 2/3/4 hexes, and stunning them for 2 seconds.

The quality updates are long overdue. Since the game launched, a lot of players started creating add-ons to make it easier for players to know about the percentages to get an individual champion.
The new Soulbound champions will make it harder for enemies to deal with the team. If both Soulbound heroes have items and are correctly positioned on the hex board, then it will allow them to carry the game from one side or the other, regardless if they die or not.
Ocean Mages were dominating the last patch, so it’s nice to see that Riot addressed it will a small nerf and additionally buffed other elements to make them closer to the meta build. It is great to see that Riot took a different approach in Teamfight Tactics compared to League of Legends that, instead of over nerfing the most potent elements and combinations, decided to buff the weaker elements and attributes.
While the nerf to Ocean Mages was not significant, the buffs to other elements might sprinkle up the meta a bit and change it to a better one with more diverse combinations; while this is not guaranteed to happen, this is the direction, which Riot Games has chosen. The Teamfight Tactics changes were mostly positive, so we should have faith in them with this one as well.
