GACKT is a popular and well-known musician in Japan. He has fans from all over the world but is often seen on Japanese tv shows and other media. GACKT has made an impression in the video game industry in Japan as well. The musician is an official ambassador for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
Since being announced as an official ambassador, GACKT has appeared in several official live broadcasts and events. He also plays and interacts with PUBG players almost daily. Last year, the game released three-voice cards used for in-game communication, which were popular at the time.
PUBG recently announced another major collaboration with the musician. The “GACKT Crate” has five new items, which have been in development since last year. The new crate is also released in honor of the 2nd anniversary of PUBG’s release in Japan.
Within the “GACKT Crate” are costumes, from GACKT-Creed to GACKT-Karma, which changes the character’s face to the musician himself. In the game, GACKT uses the in-game firearm S12K skin. The skin design is updated as it levels up, but also affects the attack. The firearm has a special specification that is similar to GACKT’s real dragon-style microphone that he uses during concerts.
Also added were GACKT’s original emotes and three helmet skins. The emotes can be used during play. Along with the new content, GACKT recorded a special message for fans.
PUBG Mobile and GACKT also held a special campaign for followers on Twitter. They included a complete set of voice cards, supply craft, t-shirt autographed by the singer, and five of the new crates.
PUBG Mobile is available now on the App Store and Play Store. The game is free to download but has some in-app purchases.
While PUBG is available in most countries, some of the events are only for specific regions. Not all events will be available for all.
PUBG Mobile is similar to the original title but designed exclusively for mobile devices. In the Battle Royale-style game, up to 100 players can compete in the classic battle mode or fight in smaller groups in 4 vs 4 team modes. There’s also a zombie survival mode for those who would rather fight the undead. In 2018, the title won the Golden Joystick Award for Mobile Game of the Year. The game continues to be widely played today across the globe.
The “GACKT Crate” is available for PUBG Mobile in Japan until June 14.
