Sega has announced the official release date for the North American release of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix. The title will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive.
Along with the announcement was a brand new gameplay trailer featuring some of the game’s new songs, modules, gameplay modes, and more.
“Hatsune Miku makes her Nintendo Switch debut in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix! Take the stage! The hit rhythm game series returns with exciting new features.” states the Nintendo Switch page, “No matter where or when, her music will be sure to reach your heart!”
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix has gameplay from the classic game in Arcade Mode. Mix Mode is brand new and was specially designed for the Nintendo Switch. Mix mode requires the Joy-Con controllers to be detached and isn’t compatible with handheld mode or the Switch Life.
The official website for the game has more information. Players can browse the full 101 song list, information regarding additional gameplay, details regarding customization, plus more screenshots from the game. Some of the songs have never been featured in the Project DIVA series until now.
A free demo is available now for players who want to try out the game before purchasing. The game only offers a solo-player experience. The full game is a 13.9 GB digital download and only has an English option in North America.
After the game launches, players can purchase all six DLC packs in the “Meg Pack” individually or in a bundle.
Everyone who preorders will receive a four-song “Theme song DLC Pack” that contains previous songs from previous Project DIVA titles. They include “The secret garden” by Kosaki Satoru, “Look This Way, Baby” by ryo, “Sekiranun Graffiti” by ryo, and “Yumeyume” by DECO*27. Those that don’t preorder will receive the preorder bonus at a later date on June 12.
Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix is based on Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone and brings the experience to the Nintendo Switch.
