With Borderlands 3 set to hit consoles and PC later this week (September 13), Gearbox has released what’ll presumably be the game’s final pre-release trailer. In it, we, of course, see quite a bit of gun-play with the new Vault Hunters. On top of that, a few classic Vault Hunters were featured, as Brick (from Borderlands 1) and Maya (from Borderlands 2) were shown in action.

Borderlands 3 is set to launch with four playable characters – Amara, who is a Siren, FL4K (The Beast Master), Moze (The Gunner), and Zane (The Operative). Of course, it’s expected that Gearbox will add more characters post-launch, but, as of right now, it’s unclear whether or not the additional characters will be new Vault Hunters, or if they’re going to add characters from previous games like the aforementioned Brick and Maya.

Even though the game isn’t going to be released until Friday, there have been a select few who have already been able to play and review the game, and for the most part, Borderlands 3 is reviewing well. So, according to the few who have reviewed it, the game will live up to the hype and be worth the wait.

Gearbox recently revealed that the main campaign in Borderlands 3 will take players around 35 hours to complete, and that’s if they ignore most of the optional side-missions. So, it’s a typical Borderlands game in terms of its length, as all of its predecessors featured main narratives that would take players anywhere between 30 and 40 hours to complete.

If you’ve pre-ordered a digital copy of Borderlands 3, then you’ll be able to pre-load the game onto your console 48 hours before launch. As for its file size, well, it’s around 40GB, so it shouldn’t kill your hard drive space.

It won’t take long for Gearbox to add more content to Borderlands 3 after it launches on Friday, as the developers have already announced that several post-launch DLC updates are going to be made available before the end of the year. So, expect to see a whole lot get added to the latest installment of Borderlands in the next three months.

While Gearbox did say that they’re planning to drop some DLC for BL3 before the end of this year, they didn’t go into detail about what it’ll be, the date or dates it’ll be released, or if they’ll be free updates.
