HP wasn’t left behind at the just concluded Gamescom 2019, hosted in Cologne Germany. The renowned computer brand showcased its new range of Pavilion and Omen gaming gear. At their booth, three gear stole the show; Pavilion 15 gaming laptop, Pavilion gaming desktop, and the OMEN X 27 gaming monitor.
Pavilion 15 Gaming Laptop
The Pavilion 15 is iconic as it is the first AMD-powered HP laptop. It boasts a the Ryzen 7 processor paired together with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660Ti, Max-Q GPU for seamless gameplay. It can be configured with either a 60Hz or 144Hz Full HD 1080p display. For smooth online play and content creation, HP included Wi-Fi 5 which supports Gigabyte speeds.
The Pavilion gaming laptop sports a sleek design, and thin bezels. At the rear, it features a wide corner vent and large air inlets to enhance airflow for efficient cooling. The Pavilion 15 will be available from September at the HP website and other retailers starting from $800.
Pavilion Gaming Desktop
The Pavilion desktop can be configured with a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processors or AMD Ryzen 7. To take on the GPU hungry titles and programs, you have the option of the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 or the new RTX 2060 SUPER. As for RAM, it can support up to 32GB DDR4.
The Pavilion desktop has a compact design ideal for those looking to save space at the workstation. There are three storage expansion slots. If you want to upgrade the rig in future, no problem, courtesy of the DIY upgradability which allows for easy access to components like the RAM, GPU, network cards, e.t.c. This desktop will be available at the end of this month, starting from $700.
OMEN X 27
This is an eSports-level gaming monitor based on a 27-inch TN panel with a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution and can display DCI P3 90% color gamut. The 1ms response time and 240Hz refresh rate give you the edge at the battlefield, especially in shooting games. On the other hand, AMD Radeon FreeSync2™ HDR Technology eliminates screen tearing, stuttering, and input lag for smooth gameplay.
Regarding connectivity, the OMEN X 27 has a single HDMI and DisplayPort port as well as two USB 3.0 ports. The bezels are ultra-thin, and the entire unit is VESA wall mountable. The OMEN X 27 will be available in September for $650.
And that’s not all. HP also unleashed the revamped OMEN Command Center which brings onboard new features for seamless integration with OMEN desktops, displays, and accessories.
