Epic Games has just launched a new tuck of items in Fortnite’s item shop with the Waltz and Promenade skins in particular creating much fervor. The summer update rains an onslaught of DC cosmetics, and in essence a parade for players to wear within the game. As usual these have been a hit or miss amongst community reactions-many are thrilled; others not so much, while some have gone full chaos on Twitter.
Now, first onto the skins themselves. Waltz and Promenade made their entree into the latest skin rotation, working that slick and bulky mode just perfect for Fortnite’s ever-expanding wardrobe. Meaning more DC goodies are also up for grabs, so now would be the time to represent your favorite hero (or villain) in-game. The official link within the tweet takes direct aim at the goods, but of course, players had their thoughts about it.
One player, by the name @evelinsssz (unofficially XChunLi) was not happy about Surf Witch coming back for another go-around, saying, “Surf Witch is here half month… i swear the god.. she just was here 8days‼️‼️ now again here.” I mean, we feel you on being rotation fatigued. @djbestgamergod along with other voices were pleasuring Street Fighter skins to return, one claiming to have had dreams of Sakura and Blanka hitting the shop. That either really shows dedication or extreme lack of sleep.
Always the Twitter drama. Some of the replies were… let us call them heated debates, full of accusations and threatened reports-That is classic gaming Twitter. @kratosvalhal earned almost zen-level respect in the middle of such bedlam as he said, “Deadass bruh guys reporting me on twitter like as anyone gives a shit , if I get banned GG I make a new account.” Honestly? That would much be the mood.
And of course, since no Fortnite update is considered true without a glitched bug, @Uknownutitled observed that clicking the “CHECK IT OUT” link in the shop will sometimes teleport you into a glitched screen where you are trapped until you view an item. Irritating? Of course. Surprising? Not really. That is Fortnite-Bugs are a sort of trademark by now.
Should I say? I mean: New skins-good; shop rotation complains-inevitable; Twitter beef-just cannot be stopped; glitches-put it in the full Fortnite experience. Whatever you want is out there in these skins for drama or fashion. So pick them up before they vanish or before the new round of drama sets in.
By the way: In case Street Fighter is still not happening for you, come on now and try manifesting like that one player who literally dreamed it into existence. It would be among the farcical things that have ever occurred in this world.
