Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) is the 2018 blockbuster from Rockstar Games, also the makers of GTA. The action-adventure game features diverse landscapes of the American Old West with many places to explore, bandits, and wildlife to haunt or study.
While many players think they have exhausted RDR2, here are some things you probably didn’t notice.
Interaction with Non-Player Characters (NPC)
Red Dead Redemption 2 has made it possible for players to interact with all the NPCs in the game. You can interact with all NPCs and spend as much time as possible with them.
Also, most NPCs react to players whether you engage them or not. The player can interact positively or negatively with the NPCs in the world game, and this impacts your reputation.
A Subtly RPG Experience
Just like other video games, for example, Destiny, RDR2 has an excellent way to hide the RPG experience under its true action-adventure genre.
Players step in Arthur Morgan’s shoes and use his wild and dangerous tricks and weapons like melee attacks, revolvers, repeaters, rifles, explosives, among others, to bring down antagonists.
This game also features several ways to make money through threats, killing, or violence to extort money from people.
Horse on Autopilot
Red Dead Redemption 2 lacks a comprehensive, fast travel system, but the autopilot feature makes up for this. Players can also unlock the quick travel camp, although they are much limited.
The highlight is the automatic horse travel that works by setting a destination and enabling the Cinematic Camera. This allows the horse to take the lead of the ride.
The only thing the player will be required to do is to pay attention to events happening on the roadside to avoid any possible dangers.
Robust Sound Effects
RDR2 has an excellent soundtrack and vocal performance. The original Red Dead Redemption used the Ennio Morricone-inspired score, which was a fan favorite. Red Dead Redemption 2 has gone further and doubled the sonic fidelity and creativity of the original sound with an extensive list of sound cues in the mix.
In this season, the gun sounds are also so real, and you can differentiate a gunfire sound fired indoors and those fired from the mountaintops.
Legends in the Official Soundtrack
Red Dead Redemption 2 soundtrack featured songs of Willie Nelson, D’Angelo, Nas, Rhiannon Giddens, and Josh Homme. Fans appreciated the inclusion of these fantastic sounds.
Now that you know some of the fascinating hidden parts of Red Dead Redemption 2, don’t miss the chance to explore them while playing one of Rockstar Games’ best titles.
