The much-anticipated anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which is scheduled to premiere on the platform on September 13 this month, now has a firm launch date on Netflix.

A fresh tweet from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Twitter account shared the release date and a brand-new trailer, which is chock full of violence, gunshots, and other things you definitely will not be watching on your work computer.

The 10-episode series will all be released at once, making it ideal for your upcoming all-day binge-viewing.
If you’ve never heard of a Cyberpunk 2077 anime before, Edgerunners is being produced by Studio Trigger, the group responsible for such well-known animated series as Kill la Kill and Little Witch Academia.

Even Akira Yamaoka, the composer of the Silent Hill theme music, contributed to the screenplay, which is inspired by a story developed by CD Project Red itself.

David Martinez, a young guy in the film Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, wants to work as a mercenary after experiencing a traumatic event. Mercenaries are also referred to as Edgerunners or Cyberpunks. The show has a stunning visual aesthetic, similar to the majority of Studio Trigger’s earlier work, and is undoubtedly not one for the faint of heart.

Regarding gaming news, CD Projekt Red recently hinted at a probable release for its eagerly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, which has been touted ever since the game’s release.

“Wann Cyberpunk-Expansion?,” which roughly translates to “When is the Cyberpunk extension,” is what the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account wrote in response to CD Projekt Red’s senior-level designer Miles Tost on Twitter.

It’s true there’s not much to go on, but it’s a hint that CD Projekt might be getting ready to make an update soon.
