There was plenty to get excited about in that weekly Bungie update for Destiny 2: quite a few Quality of Life improvements, along with some small talk about fashion. But frankly, the announcement which has really got the gossip mill running was the fact of the Edge of Fate being revealed on May 6-and if Bungie style teases would be anything to go by, then this might be damn big. New dungeon? Raid? Full-blown expansion? The vagueness slowly kills us, but hey, that in many ways is standard Bungie procedure by now.
About the Rite of the Nine weapons-the details isn’t out yet, but here’s hoping for the biggest buff or the shakiest minichanges to stir things up in the meta (some nerfs tho, who are we kidding, they enjoy doing that).
Now on this super-useful thing-Bungie Help getting an overhaul and becoming part of @BNGServerStatus; may they prosper there with less “why is the game down?” meltdowns-much better actual mess-clearing-on-their-end-issued tweets from Bungie.
Charity fans save the date-April 22-of Bounty for Good from @BungieLove, which is usually a fun time for Guardians throwing money at good causes for some sweet emblems in exchange. Win-win, really.
And of course, since fashion is the real endgame, #D2FashionFeedback returns. Time to argue about cloaks vs no cloaks (cloaks always win, fight me).
A tweet still hasn’t received a reply, which is strange; Destiny fans usually have opinions about anything. Well, perhaps everybody is too busy grinding Lost Sectors to comment. Or maybe they wait for Edge of Fate to drop to party huge or riot. Classic Destiny community.
So yes, one more week, another round of Bungie being Bungie. May 6 cannot come soon enough-unless, of course, it’s yet another Eververse announcement, which would be a bit of an oof. Let’s hope for something meaty. Until then, grind on.
