Each week in Destiny 2 brings new powerful gear rewards and the usual cycle of activities. The location, type, and reward for these activities reset on Tuesday, and there is a good bit of information to keep track of. Today, we will go over the reset for overworld activities, PvE, and even PvP content.
To start off, the Nightfall activity this week is Savathun’s Song. This is an older Nightfall, but a fun one to play through. It is also fairly challenging to complete at higher difficulties compared to some others, so make sure to give it a try if you love a challenge. You can also try to obtain the exclusive reward Duty Bound which is an Auto Rifle.
If that particular Nightfall doesn’t strike your fancy, there are three Legacy Nightfalls you can undertake instead. The Insight Terminus, Strange Terrian, and The Hollowed Lair are all available until next Tuesday, and each comes with its own exclusive reward.
These Nightfalls can drop The Long Goodbye sniper rifle, BrayTech Osprey rocket launcher, and the Mindbender’s Ambition shotgun respectively.
Next up for PvE activities is the flashpoint available on Io. This is convenient as players will likely be undertaking the new public event as part of Season of Arrivals anyway, so now there is even more incentive to head to the planet.
Over at the Dreaming City, Petra Venj has her hands full with a Strong Curse week. If you want to lend her a hand, you can head over to Rheasilvia and tackle the Dark Monastery weekly mission.
Additionally, the Blind Well Plague Inomina will be available to challenge. The Ascendant Challenge for this week is the Keep of Honed Edges, which is located in Harbinger’s Seclude.
As for overworld activities, on Mars Nur Abath, Crest of Xol is the Escalation Protocol boss this reset. This is a welcome sight as he has the chance to drop the IKELOS_SG_v1.0.1 shotgun. This shotgun is one of the best escalation protocol weapons, and you should definitely pick it up if you haven’t already.
On the Moon, the Wandering Nightmare “Nightmare of Horkis, Fear of Mithrax” can be found in the Anchor of Light. You can also participate in the three available Nightmare hunts: Insanity, Pride, and Anguish. Finally, the Trove Guardian is in the Hellmouth.
Finally, for those PvP fans out there, there are two currently playable rotational playlists. Team Scorched or Countdown both provide a variety of different feels for Crucible matches, so make sure to head into the arena this week.
That about wraps up the weekly reset information. Season of Arrivals, along with the three-year roadmap for Destiny 2 are both officially released, so make sure to check back here for all the latest information.
