If you like brutal combat, then The Surge 2 is the game to own. It’s one of the most graphic games as far as melee and shooting go. That’s because Deck13 included a limb-severing system that actually lets you cut off opponents’ arms, legs, and head. It’s a particularly addicting design that makes every encounter just as unique as the next.

If you’ve been a user of the The Surge 2 ever since it released back in September, then you’ll be happy to know that the developer just put out more DLC content that’s completely free. The most prominent item coming out of this DLC package is a futuristic cop suit.

It’s a bit bulky and doesn’t seem very easy to move around in, but it does give you a very cool robot-like vibe. The heavy-duty armor seems like it will be very useful when your character is in close quarters combat situations, when you need your defenses dialed up to a 10. According to developer notes on the new futuristic suit, it will net you a stamina bonus. Thus, you’ll be able to run around more without having to pause the action.

Visually, the suit is a bit jarring. However, the more you see it, the more it kind of grows on you. The community has weighed in on its visuals, and thus far, everyone seems to be digging what Deck13 has come up with.

In addition to this new suit — called the JCPD Team Zola armour set — new implants will be available. It’s hard to complain with this latest DLC content. The fact that you don’t have to pay a dime is amazing and gives you more bang for your buck.

This isn’t the first time Deck13 has given The Surge 2 players free swag. They did it just last month. You can bet more free DLC is on the way too. Thus, there’s never been a better time to be an active user of this action-adventure game.

In addition to its bevvy of cosmetic options, there is just so much to see around Jericho City. It has an expansive design that lets you do as you please and complete missions at your own pace. Most importantly, the combat is distinct in the brutal department as mentioned up above.

Every encounter feels like an important moment where your character has many ways to go about taking down enemies. It gets an A+ in the unforgiving slashing department.
