The Call of Duty franchise has been going strong for years now, and this particular installment is a call-back to where the series started. The World War 2 setting and environments certainly give it a unique identify that’s beloved by many first-person shooter enthusiasts.

Like most COD titles, COD:WWII has a campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. All three sections have a lot of shining aspects, although there are some shortcomings with each that prevent this installment from climbing to the top of the charts.

As far as the story, it’s one of the better ones in recent memory for this franchise. It has a very personal feel thanks to the protagonist, Private Daniels. The story follows him throughout pivotal events during WW2. Thus, players get to experience an up close and personal feel to one of the most iconic wars that shaped the world for future generations.

D-Day is just as emotional and action-packed as scenes from Saving Private Ryan. There are many memorable events and iconic landmarks that you’ll get to experience too, which is great if you fancy yourself a history buff.

The multiplayer also is a good time for players looking to put their skills to the test against others across the globe. It has a very fast-tempo pace to it, which helps you stay locked in the action for every match.

Yes, you don’t have advanced weaponry like you did in previous installments, but that just puts more focus on being precise and knowing when to fire. The wide variety of modes will keep you entertained for weeks. Just get ready to kill and die fast.
