Despite efforts from Nintendo, some fans of their newest title Animal Crossing: New Horizons have found the in-game events to be a bit lackluster. There have been a total of three major events, those being Bunny Day, May Day, and the Museum Stamp Rally. However, the rewards for the next upcoming event have been officially unveiled, and they seem to be the best ones yet.
First, a rehash of the older events and their rewards. Bunny Day was the very first event in the game and had some notable issues, to say the least. From the constant bombardment of ballons, lackluster prizes, and Zipper T Bunny being downright creepy, events in New Horizons got off on the wrong foot with its player base.
Nintendo had a chance to undo the damage caused during May Day, and it was better. However, the event featured only one major reward in the form of Rover’s suitcase. Additionally, once you completed the maze, it never changed so there was absolutely no replay value. This event kept players busy for thirty minutes at most, so it didn’t exactly redeem events in the game.
Finally, the Museum Stamp Rally had a bit more heart put into it, but still fell short of fan expectations. While the event was cute, and it did make Blathers oh so happy when you returned with all the stamps, again the rewards were lackluster and the event itself lacked replayability.
So that brings us to Wedding Day. Not much can be said on how fun the actual event will be just yet, we’ll have to wait until June 1st for that. However, the rewards for the event have been leaked, and they are absolutely stunning. Those who play the game for the decoration and aesthetic aspect are going to be thrilled upon seeing them.
The rewards for the event include the following items:
- Wedding Arch
- Wedding Bench
- Wedding Chair
- Wedding Head Table
- Wedding Candle Set
- Reese and Cyrus Photo Plate
- Wedding Cake
- Welcome Board
- Wedding Flower Stand
- Wedding Pipe Organ
- Wedding Decoration
- Several wallpapers, flooring, and rugs
All of the items are of course thematic with the event, and look like they match Reese, the llama NPC very well. They also sport a pink color scheme with flower motifs. Luckily, most of the items are also customizable using a crafting bench, so the overall color can be changed to your liking.
The Wedding Day Event runs from June 1st until the 30th, so be sure to make the most of your playtime in order to collect all of these beautiful decorations for your island home. Be sure to check back on the 1st for all the event details once it arrives.
