While trying to fine-tune their weapons for the optimum performance in the game’s online multiplayer mode, one Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 player ran across what appears to be a problem. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s campaign has been hailed by fans, and the game has received some criticism for its many faults in the multiplayer mode.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, created by Infinity Ward, features an all-new story and enhancements to the series’ most popular online multiplayer mode. Many of the main characters from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 return in this game’s campaign mode, which also contains a more realistic tale than previous games in the series. Game-breaking problems have been reported in both the story and multiplayer modes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The latter is incredibly frustrating for players who want to play with friends online.

A Reddit user posted a screenshot to r/ModernWarfareII demonstrating that equipping a weapon with the maximum four available attachments for increasing its ADS speed does not increase its speed by more than zero milliseconds. In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, a player’s “aim down sights” (ADS) speed determines how quickly they can aim when aiming down the barrel of a weapon. Many gamers who responded to the post were surprised that attachments designed to boost ADS speed slowed it down. However, others pointed to this as evidence of major multiplayer problems.

They were playing a competitive multiplayer game, so soon after release increases the likelihood of experiencing problems that might severely impact the experience. Although multiplayer issues like the weapon attachment problem will likely be patched out in the future, their existence in a highly anticipated game like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will probably leave some gamers with a sour taste.
